Here is why I love the UpMama: First of all, this is a simply beautiful carrier... stunning fabrics, well-made and very streamlined. Secondly, this sling offers the benefits of the pouch design but has the flexibility of a ring sling. My newborn daughter fits nicely in the pouch and I am able to breastfeed discretely. When she is done, I can wear her upright in the tummy to tummy position by tightening the top rail. Because of the excellent shoulder design, I can comfortably wear my 22 month old, 28 pound toddler... I often pop into a store with nothing but the baby in the sling with my wallet, keys and cell phone zipped securely in the pocket. I highly recommend this beautifully made, brilliantly designed UpMama sling."

Where pouches aren't adjustable and ring slings lack the curve and seat of a pouch, the UpMama has it got it down...I think this is the perfect carrier for beginning babywearers and veterans as well. "Not only is this carrier beautiful, it is extremely comfortable. My baby weighs almost 20 lbs., and I've got back problems, so comfort is a top priority for me! The shoulder of it is very comfortable...it didn't "dig in" anywhere like I sometimes find my regular pouch sling doing. I was easily able to get my baby in and out of it quickly, and found it very easy to adjust. The fabric has just a slight bit of stretch to it, adding to the ease of getting baby in there comfortably without sacrificing the support. No sagging here! "I have a lot of experience with carriers, and this one is one of the best. It holds my newborn baby in perfectly like a pouch, but is very adjustable. The material is very soft and gently supportive. The shoulder is narrower so I can still move my arm, but made in such a way that the weight is evenly distrubuted and I felt no pressure points while carrying my daughter. The sling is very well made with a nice big pocket on the tail that zips. I love this sling, it has now become one of my favorites!"
